Episode 5: Michael Zimmerman Part 2

Episode 5 concludes our interview with race director and former HyVee IronKids announcer Michael Zimmerman. Michael is the owner of Rip Roar Events in Des Moines, Iowa, and he shared so much good information with us last week that we were able to break it into two parts. During this part of the interview, Michael shares the misfortune of having his trailer stolen with all of his race direction equipment. The truck was recovered, and totaled, the same day he found out he was battling two forms of cancer. Michael’s passion for youth triathlon comes through loud and clear as he encourages every current and former athlete to take a more active role in recruiting youth to our sport.
